Kim | Home Baker & Digital Creator on Instagram: "Honey lavender sourdough 💜🍯 I am probably the worlds slowest scorer when it comes to basic wheat stalks 😂 working on getting more confident in my strokes so I can score more complex designs. Any and all tips are welcome! I scored using my UFO lame from @wiremonkeyshop (link in bio for 10% off) Overall I’m very happy with how this loaf turned out (crumb reveal is in my story). This was my first time baking with lavender and just sorta…
Sourdough Cross tutorial! *For the full recipe including baking instructions, and sourdough supplies, check the links in my bio. *I like to freeze my loaf for at least a half hour before baking. I find that this helps with steam in the Dutch oven, and makes it easier to score. *Remove loaf from freezer and cover with a layer of rice flour. *I find it easier to outline the design first with a toothpick, and I can also fix it easier this way before I start scoring with my bread lame.

Bel | Easy Sourdough & Artisan Bread Homebaking on Instagram: "⬇️ Here’s an easy bread design hack for you to try. This design is a variation of my ‘Zenith’ design which features a large central wheat stalk. The difference is that only the stalk is dusted in rice flour to accentuate it. It also means you get to see the lovely blisters and glossy crust shine through on the sides of the loaf. My steps: 1️⃣ Always score from cold and in this case freeze your dough while your baking vessel heats…
I wasn’t sure what to score yesterday and it was late so i decided to do a @sourdough_enzo inspired score I tried to incorporate some sweeping wheat stalks, and scissor work details on the ear and the back of the loaf. If you haven’t already seen her work, it absolutely gorgeous! I used my @wiremonkeyshop ufo bread journey lame( not pictured) as well as my goose lame to score! 365g water total (15g left out to dissolve salt) 10g barley malt 490g @kingarthurbaking bakers classic 10g @celti...
