A few weeks ago I posted about a gorgeous fabric Christmas book I made. It has several pockets with some handmade ephemera in each. I made a tutorial for the tri fold envelope placed in the third pocket. It's super fun and not hard to make. A great addition to any book or journal. Lots of Christmas sewing has been going on here, hence my silence!!! Today is my first day of market in San Marino, 'Natale delle Meraviglie'. It's a wonderful event in the Republic of San Marino full of little wooden houses filled with lovely handmade products to give as unique gifts for Christmas! Here are some lovely diaries for 2016 I made for my market in San marino. I had so much fun making clay buttons and using some of my lovely antique linens and trims combined with gorgeous Tilda fabrics. I have a couple left which i will slowly put in my shop. Beautiful work by mum!

Embroidered antique linen pouch. I used some wonderful tea/coffee dyed trims on this. I then embroidered the rose by first couching on some thick cotton thread and then embroidering around it. I was inspired for this rose by a wonderful Japanese embroidery book called 'Embroidery Design Notes'. I absolutely could not understand how they do the rose so I had to make up my own. The end result worked out the way I wanted so I am pleased with it.

I made this nappy bag for my friend's daughter who just had her 4th child! Having 4 children is amazing in itself! I made the bag with antique Italian linen and vintage fabrics. I appliqued all different fabrics and trims, some vintage embroidered flowers. I then appliqued a little girl and rabbit.
