A cute and easy origami fish developed from the basic fish base. It is a wide and short origami fish that contains more details than our Tropical Fish.

As you can see, the form of this origami fish is stunning. But in person, it appears even better. The gills beneath the head, which force it to fan out further and make it look more realistic than previous fish models, are hidden from view in this image.

While there are simpler bases like kite or blitz, the fish base can be confusing for beginners. It is similar to both kite and bird bases, and it is a fold that is commonly used for flowers. Although, just like the name suggests, a fish base can be used to make origami fish (or even dolphins).
