the garden is full of flowers and rocks

One of the tips I gave while lecturing is to try to read between the lines when reading that tag in the pot at the nursery. The advertising world is a savvy one and many descriptions are phrased to make something that's not very desirable look perfectly normal or even an asset. Two phrases get me hot under the collar. The first is when the tag says "short lived perennial". Reading between the lines, that usually means the plant is a biennial. Why not just say "will die right after blooming"…

some white flowers are growing in the grass

White mazus 'Fairy Dust' (Mazus reptans) is a fast-growing resilient, dense groundcover, flowering from Spring to mid-Autumn and is tolerant of being walked on. It roots along the stems and will stop topsoil erosion. It likes part or full shade and moist, well-drained soil. It grows to 10cm high and 50cm wide.
