I know the contest is over and but these weren't built for that anyway. I was just inspired by Orion's Back to the Future and Monkey Island speederbikes and wanted to do some myself.

After dabbling into whatifs designs (here and there) I decided to go back to a more canon version of the iconic snubfighter. Also I needed the challenge. Seeing how many great T-65 there has been in the past months I do not see how I could add anything to a Lego 'classic' X-wing as of today. This nimble craft is Simon Liu's (@si_mocs) take on the Ornithopter from Denis Villeneuve's recent adaptation of Dune by Frank Herbert. This iconic design is bound to become a fan favorite for builders in the same league as the X-Wing or the Tumbler. So, of course, the self-dubbed "LEGO Dad" would be amongst the first to build it.
