Out of an abundance of caution for the well-being of our museum visitors, volunteers, and staff due to the COVID-19 public health threat. Our deepest thanks for your understanding. Stay tuned for upcoming events.
Hanami (花見, lit. "flower viewing") is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers, "flower" in this case almost always meaning cherry blossoms (桜 or 櫻 sakura). The glorious cherry tree outside the University Church in Oxford is currently in full bloom, and the weather this week has been perfect for my annual spot of 'hanami'.
