I've always said I never wanted to put my parents in a nursing home. I've always wanted to take care of them. The only issue is, my parents are very independent. So, I had a dilemma. The answer was easy... a granny pod (don't tell my dad). This way, my parents still had their own place, but it was close enough for me to keep an eye on them. We all loved it.
