This series hangs heavy with mystery. In the apparent silence of the forest, rendered in delicate greys, great beasts hulk, meeting the gaze of the viewer with apparent lack of concern. The effect is magical realist in character: it evokes tranquility as much as it surprises with its subject matter. I provoke questions: are these beasts really present? And how? I seems to frame a private moment of magic, crystallising it and passing it forward for the viewer to see.

In Multiexpo I show analog multiple exposures of Berliner and other european citys sightseeing hotspots photographed from several positions on one frame. The buildings, structures and sculptures are taken from different perspectives, as well as the different visitors they look. The multiplication and intensification of positions and fields of view appears to distort the structures…

This is a further development of my existing project 'multiexpo'. I photograph for this series famous landmarks and places of my homeground (Berlin and sourrounding area). All of these images are analogue multiple exposures with exactly 100 releases of the same object on film. Using multiple exposures i am trying to bring the viewer to the heart of architecture, the form.
