Some history time On this day in 1848, November 18, Ellen White received a vision from God during which she was shown that her husband James was to start "a little paper", which over time would send "streams of light around the world". Thus was born what was to become Adventist Review, the oldest magazine in the United States. The vision was clearly fulfilled. Today, Adventist Review and her daughter magazine, Adventist World, are distributed to over 150 countries.
