View On Black The Dark Hedges, Co Antrim, N. Ireland An interesting attraction is the Dark Hedges, an avenue of beech trees south of Ballycastle near Armoy. Ballypatrick Forest lies on the Ballycastle to Cushendall road and has a number of view points, walks, a scenic drive, and picnic areas.

These opposing rows of beech trees were planted to create an impressive lead up to an estate in Northern Ireland.
