The term "The Whole Child" means that each domain of learning (Cognitive, Language, Social/Emotional, Physical) connects to the other. For Example, when a child is working in their restaurant in dramatic play, every domain is working together to see the whole learning experience through. She is counting plates (cognitive), speaking to others (language), asking questions and listening to her friends (Social/Emotional), exercising her fine and gross motor skills when preparing food (physical).
