On page 279 Gertrude “No, no, the drink! O, my dear Hamlet! The drink, the drink! I am poisoned.” Gertrude says this right after she drinks the cup with poison. King Claudius meant for the drink to go to Hamlet but Gertrude ends up drinking it instead. When Hamlet realizes that his mother has just drank a poisonous drink, he stabs Claudius with the poisoned sword and makes him drink the poison cup.
