Medieval Gold Garnet Cabochon Ring    14th century AD . A delicate finger ring with fine expanding hoop, carinated shoulders and biconical bezel, elliptical in plan with inset cabochon garnet. This style of ring was popular through to the late 16th century.

Late 14th century/ early 15th century  Gold ring, the bezel in the form of a spur with a twelve-pointed revolving rowel, the hoop decorated with scrollwork and niello and terminating in dragon's heads at the shoulders. This ring is part of a collection of 'Veneto-Byzantine' jewellery found in 1840 in the Castle of Chalcis on the Greek island of Euboea (known as Negroponte by the Venetians).

The brooch has been dated to between 1350 and 1450 and is in the shape of a heart with two clasped hands. The size of a pound coin, it is thought it was originally a betrothal gift because the hands appear to be male and female
