 Maybe I should try using cloches in the garden this winter.

These fellas could be free hanging, maybe a bar running from wall to wall across the void in the Yarden/ neighbours wall, then there won't be the issue with leaves in the drain. Cloches & cans--would love to find some of these old victorian cloches.
