I've got a couple Choo Choo Charlie items in my collection, but until recently, I didn't have any of the original 1960's boxes. It's great to add two, I picked up recently.

I'd been wanting one of the Jujubes boxes with the bee mascot for some time, and thanks to my pal Gregg K, I now have this beauty. When I received it, it was still full of 30+ year old candy, but I surgically removed the nasty old bits so that I could store this one without fear of further deterioration. I really dig it. Thanks, Gregg!

A classic Good and Plenty candy box. I was surprised to look in my files to realize that this is my first vintage box of these.

Even back in the 1960's and 1970's, candy companies would spin off their main brands into special versions - such is the case with Wild Cherry Dots. I love the colors scheme on this box - I think it's a subtle and striking at the same time. What a fabulous Kraft box - dating back to 1974. Butter Mints always seemed to be something you'd find at one of your grandparents' houses, or at the register of a diner. How about that illustration on the back of the box?

Ah, a vintage malted milk balls candy box. It seems to me that there used to be far more manufacturers of this treat in the past. Now, Whoppers just about have this market cornered - though I did find some delicious Necco-branded malted milk balls recently. They were great! Can't recall the name.
