Those bars on the side of recliners to extend the foot rest are such an antiquated idea. Instead of straining your shoulder to get comfortable, how about instead pushing a button. Electric recliner chairs take the work out of reclining. Just sit back, push the appropriate button, and the leg support extends by an electric servo within the chair frame.
