Great special right triangle practice! My students love these mazes!

Solving Inequalities Heart Shaped Puzzle

I absolutely love this post from great maths teaching ideas for a trigonometry-pile-up. However, I don't teach trigonometry in my 8th grade math classes but I do teach Pythagorean Theorem. I decided

Better than traditional flash cards, Number Bond cards take students beyond just practicing math facts. They illustrate the relationships between numbers as well as the inverse relationship between ad

Love using these mazes in the classroom! This would be great special right triangle practice for my Geometry students!

I don't ever plan on teaching high school math, but you never know. This looks helpful.. maybe for friends still in college.

This maze consists of 11 right triangles in which students must use the Geometric Mean to solve for leg, altitude, and hypotenuse segment lengths. Students will use both Geometric Mean Theorems in this exercise:The altitude drawn to the hypotenuse of a right triangle separates the hypotenuse into two segments.

This self-checking maze has 11 problems involving the law of sines and the law of cosines. Students will be required to use both to solve for angles and sides of triangles. Answer key is included for easy checking.

If the graph of a function's derivative is tangent to the original function, I want to be your derivative. I want to be your derivative so I can lie tangent to your curves is a great math geek t shirt.
