Part 2 of my commonly asked questions! Where and how do I start the sides? Your basket will go straight up if you pull the filler cord over the previous round. It’ll go out slightly if you angle it when doing your sides. I like to make the first round at a slight angle and then go directly over the previous round going forward. When making coiled baskets, here’s a tip for you. If you’re running out of filler cord. Just add some more! Use a piece of wide clear tape to join the end together. I like to cut the ends at an angle so the cord fits together and it’s more secure.
