First Grade Artists finished their constellations! We made paper using liquid watercolor paints and epsom salt, and then we used metallic markers and white pens (after practicing with pencil on scratch paper) to draw stars. .. We then used *rulers* (tricky stuff!) to connect the dots/stars and created our own constellations! Final step: adding glitter glue or glow-in-the-dark puffy paint to each star. #artteachers
A solar eclipse project we did based on the News 2 You article we read this week. Just glue a yellow sun to black construction paper. Then create a black moon and attach it by poking a hole and using a fastener. Voila, you have a moveable moon for a solar eclipse. It was great for fine motor skills, as we cut out each individual ray for the sun. My class suns are pictured at the bottom.
