My birthday is coming up real soon and to celebrate, I’ve made myself a birthday hat in fun, playful colors! I love this yarn, I’d have to say it’s one of my favorites. Vickie Howell Sheepish Stripes is perfect for this hat. It’s gradual color changes make each round a different color and the texture of the yarn and puff stitches work together in blissful harmony.

“Ambivalence” is a “Trapeze Net” Cowl in 3 Forms; 1 Long and 2 Short.

This is a hat with a double life; it can be worn as a snug cowl or you can gather the drawstrings threaded through the top edge to turn it into a hat. It is knitted sideways in a reverse stocking stitch rib which spirals round the hat and gives it extra stretch.
