A Marine stands guard outside hospital room
Cody Green, 12, was diagnosed with leukemia. He loved the USMC. He drew strength/courage from them. When he got an infection that attacked his brain, the Marines wanted to show him how much they respected his will to live/strength/honor/courage. They gave him Marine Navigator Wings and named him an honorary member of the USMC. For one Marine, that wasn’t enough. That night, before Cody passed away, he took it upon himself to stand guard at Cody’s hospital door all night long, 8 hours straight.
