Greek film director Athina Rachel Tsangari, known for the award-winning independent film Attenberg, was inspired by the drawings of Polish artist Aleksandra Waliszewska for her 2012 art film The Capsule. It was produced as a commission for the DesteFashionCollection 2012, sponsored by art collector Dakis Joannou. The screenplay was co-written by Waliszewska herself, who also plays a small part.

Choreographer and contemporary dance powerhouse Maciej Kuźmiński has appeared on stages around the world including the Konzerthaus Vien in Vienna and Sadler’.

An international team of 130 scientists was brought about in 2006 to begin work on the main exhibition of Poland's biggest public-private initiative devoted to remembering its Jewish heritage. As project head Professor Kirshenblatt-Gimblett explains, "These 1,000 years of constant presence is something entirely remarkable, something that cannot be said about Jews in England, France, Germany, Austria or parts of Italy and Spain".

The symbolism of the architectural form and the narrative structure of the core multimedia exhibition trace a thousand years of Jewish life in Poland.
