I’m practically giddy because tomorrow, demo starts in the old laundry room/Cricket’s room, so we can transform it into the mudroom! In our 2023 project list, we announced that we would transform this space into a pool bathroom… but that’s not happening anymore. Instead, the pool bathroom will eventually be added to the guest house and entered through the black door by the outdoor kitchen (see if you can spot it in this post here). But that’s a project for another day (….errrr, year).

There’s that doorway. So odd to think that putting the bed on this wall wasn’t even an option before! But now it feels like the only thing that makes sense! Every night when we retire to this room, it feels like a reward, and I’m so happy with it.

After finishing the Study, I was really craving a home project with a lighter lift (is there such a thing?). Although no project is without its bumps and hiccups, slowing down and renovating Faye��’s bedroom was exactly what my heart, head, and body needed. It’s been an absolute delight working with her over the last few months, letting Faye take the lead in designing a room that she loves, making the both of us happy.
