Historic British post boxes, in pictures
This unusual wall box from the 1870s is built into an edifice resembling a wayside shrine in a village near Evesham, Worcestershire. A clergyman in the parish set the letter box by the village green in sandstone with a timber-framed gable and his coat of arms, celebrating the importance of letters during the Victorian period.
