How do we teach about Auschwitz and the Holocaust in a time we are losing the last eyewitnesses to the history? Such questions were posed during the international education conference "Remembrance has not matured in us yet...” which was held at the Auschwitz Memorial on 26-29 October.  More:,1180.html
The project "Preserving Authenticity - Nine Tasks for the Years 2012-2015" at the Auschwitz Memorial has been completed. The project was financed with a grant from the European Commission within the framework of the programme "Europe for Citizens".  Folder:  More:,1178.html

The main phase of the project for comprehensive conservation of two brick prisoner barracks, which are in a very bad state has commenced on the site of the former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp.  More:,1170.html
Several hundred people attended the ceremony, which took place at the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz II-Birkenau. At the monument commemorating the extermination of the Roma and Sinti on the site of the former Zigeunerfamilienlager, wreaths were laid and tribute paid to the victims.  More:,1168.html
Volunteers and representatives of institutions supporting volunteerism at the Memorial Site were honoured with the awards "If Not for Those Ten..." The award was presented at the 68th anniversary of the creation of the Museum on the grounds of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.  More:,1163.html
Events were held in Tarnów and Oświęcim on June 12 and 13 to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the first transport of Polish political prisoners to the German Nazi Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp.  More:,1160.html
The testimonies of former prisoners of Auschwitz have been made available in the historic space of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp. Visitors can, at designated locations listen to stories of direct witnesses to the events.  More:,1156.html
The history of the military resistance movement organized by Polish political prisoners in the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz is presented by a new exhibition created by the Museum at the Google Cultural Institute.  Lesson:
