1969 Wedding dress by Jean Muir: Worsted wool twill trimmed with braid, high-waisted with a collar and smock sleeves. Was worn by Lady Pamela Harlech, a former Vogue editor, at her 1969 wedding. The bride wore strips of braid in her hair to match the Celtic design on the front of the dress | VA Museum, London.
Wedding gown, 1908. Silk with Brussels lace and silk bow on bodice. Two-tier skirt with scalloped hems. Lined in satin with a border of tight concertina pleats. Train. (Shirtwaist would never have been worn untucked like this.) Worn by Ethel Dalziel for her marriage to H. Roland Cooper. Ethel's granddaughter tried to donate it to a museum, but none wanted it! It was auctioned off by Duke's in 2012. Daily Mail
