hunter's 50th birthday
my wonderful husband painted the camo print for me. Not bad for a cowboy, ehh? He loves it when I say "honey, pretty please can you help me for a minute?" An important lesson learned, though -- don't even bother using modeling chocolate in August. The deer antler is all modeling chocolate and had melted into a puddle in spite of our best efforts to keep it cool.
This tree stump is 4 layers of yellow cake with chocolate swirls inside to simulate tree rings and then covered in fondant. Shotgun shells and knife are gumpaste. This was one of the more fun cakes to make. It came together so easy. Note to self:...
A funny hunting scene!
The Birthday boy was having a party in the Ty Gwyn pub after a shoot! He is a bad shot hence all the spent cartridges on the floor His trusty dog is pointing at the pheasants and another pheasant is pointing him to the party!
