Black Chokeberry Grows 5 to 10 feet high and about 5 feet wide. Spreading shrub with showy, white flowers in spring. Purple-black fruit in fall and deep-red fall foliage. Naturally found lakeside, in swamps and bogs, as well as in pine barrens and blueberry fields. Good fruit for birds. Sun to partial sun. Adaptable to a variety of soil conditions from wet to dry.
