A huge hall, lighten by bare bulbs, hanging from the ceiling, accompanied by a bike and live piano music. That was unexpected, and it happened because we've smelled food and heard people's chatter while walking through some bridge on our way home. There wasn't a restaurant, and there wasn't a bar (those are the writings we could see over the... counter? Not sure how to call it. ;)). In not the restaurant, I took a Thai vegan carrot soup that was a bit too cold.

Situated five minutes behind a hostel, it looked like one of the Polish bars from the '80. It was huge and filled with people, and we were lucky to arrive early. I've ordered a "carvoaria kebab", expecting shredded meat on the plate but instead I got a huge skewer with soft beef and king prawns, looking at me reproachfully. To this, I had a bowl of potato chips, incredibly tiny cut and a salad in a price. Not a bad deal.

When we were in Vienna, waiting for the night train to Zurich, we've decided to eat at a lovely restaurant called Cohen's Smartfood. They had vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free options in their menu and excellent, fresh and large portions that were relatively cheap. Tomek took sabich, a dish made of hummus, falafel, eggs and veggies. If you would like to read more about gluten-free and dairy-free travels, then check the link below…

I went for the Shawarma plate with chicken, salad and tahini sauce. I have to admit that I felt full and happy after such a dinner.
