One of the recipes that I've made as a part of the Polyglot's Challenge was an octopus, a recipe that I found in the Mais+ magazine but it required a lot of work and the result was just ok. Have you ever prepared the octopus yourself? How did it work for you?
That's the first of the Portuguese recipes I've prepared - a simple baked chicken breast with herbs and potatoes. I have to say that it worked quite good, What's your favourite lunch while you're travelling?
I've prepared farinheira as a part of the Polyglot's Challenge - it was a Portuguese recipe that was original with alheira, a Portuguese garlic sausage. I just forgot that "farinha" means wheat and was surprised why I don't feel well after eating that (I'm gluten-free). Have you ever done something so silly, just because of the lack of thinking? ;)
