This is my first ever entry for the Great Cakes Soapworks Challenge Club contest. In the June edition we were to mimic Ebru Art in our soap creations. The task was a challenge indeed! Please check my inspiration Ebru art photo and photos of the soap created in result. I think that I may have managed to turn some of my leafy ornaments into ancient trilobites :)!
The soap is scented with Green Tea ScentSationals fragrance oil, which I trust since it does not accelerate trace. I have also used vivid micas, beige clay and oxides from kolorowka.com (I believe they only have full stock available on the Polish version of the store, sorry - the English version for some reason offers only selected items).
This task was quite difficult! My three previous attempts were either a separated catastrophe (discarded) or not what I intended due to the soap tracing too quickly (and these ended up hidden in the dark depths of my curing rack :)).
This is a freshly poured batch of soap. I have used a recipe with of olive oil to slow down trace and allow me to create the pattern with the skewer. I wonder why the picture rotates after uploading - sorry!
