By 1842, Victoria would have been, 23, and trying to appear very grown up. The skirts are widening (as are the hips and bust line after bearing two children), and do so even more in 1847 when she would have already had five children.
I call them The Gentlemen's Alliance - an organization of men in the modern era who dress in Victorian/Steampunk-like fashion and throw parties and such to entertain the female guest and revive lost romantic traditions and Gentlemenly mannerships. - EH (P.S. im going to write a story out of this)
Gotta know your top hats. I've always wanted a collapsible top hat, but they are so expensive.
