Rescue of the Imperial family from Yalta 1919
Dowager Empress Marie of Russia on board the HMS Marlborough April 1919 as she and other members of the Russian Royals leave Russia. They sang the Imperial anthem. She had lived in Russia for 52 years. About 72 years old in this photo. She lived another 10 years passing away in 1928 in Copenhagen. She is buried in Roskilde Cathedral in Denmark. Lenin and the communists did not grant her the honour of being buried in St. Petersburg next to her husband as was her wish.

Romanov Family 1913. In February 1917 following the coup imperial family were deported to exile in Siberia. After the Bolshevik October Revolution in early 1918 he was transferred to Ekaterinburg, where she lived in one of the houses confiscated. He is hiding under the watchful eye of armed guards 50.
