Luckily there is no need to wait for the patination to get these amazing colours, specially designed and environmentally friendly chemicals can speed up the process. St James’ church (Sydney) was constructed between 1819 and 1824 using convict labour. It was designed by the convict Francis Greenway and retains the external character of a Georgian town church. Further changes were made in 1894 and from 1904 to 1907. It is part of a surviving group of Macquarie period buildings in Australia. The building is now listed on the Register of the National Estate. The Spire was restored in 2010 using Copper (Green) Patina.
